The Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Tuesday that Naseem Shah would not be able to play in the third and final test due to a shoulder injury.
Prior to beginning his recovery, Naseem's injury will now be further evaluated at the National High-Performance Center in Lahore, according to the PCB.
England's first test tour of Pakistan in 17 years started with Pakistan losing 2-0 after key fast bowlers suffered injuries. The third test will start on Saturday in Karachi.
Before England won the first test by an exciting 26 runs in Multan, Pakistan lost the match by a score of 74 runs in waning light on the final day.
The third and final Test between Pakistan and England, which starts on December 17 in Karachi, will not have a fast bowler from that nation.
Due to soreness in his bowling shoulder, Naseem Shah won't play in the third Test. He will now fly to Lahore for a second National High-Performance Centre evaluation.
The team management has not yet announced a replacement, though.
