After the forward sustained an injury in their victory over Serbia in the group stage, Brazil's head coach Tite says the high number of fouls on Neymar "has to be stopped."

After being replaced with an ankle injury in the 80th minute, Neymar appeared to be in tears as he sat on the sideline.

In the 2-0 victory on Thursday, the 30-year-old was the target of a strong tackle from Nikola Milenkovic.

Tite added, "If you want to celebrate the football, you have to watch the fouls."

"They concentrate on certain players. The result is as shown. This needs to end."

Neymar has been fouled 53 times in the World Cup since his debut in 2014, at least 11 more than any other player.

In their debut game in Qatar, he received more fouls than any other player with nine against Serbia.

Although Neymar won't participate in Brazil's final group stage games, Tite expressed his continued confidence that the Paris Saint-Germain attacker would make another World Cup appearance.

"Both Neymar and [injured defender] Danilo, in my opinion, will compete at the World Cup. I can't discuss [medical information] at this time "said Tite.

Both Neymar and Danilo's situations have changed, but we believe both will be able to participate in the World Cup, I can tell.

Renato Steffen, a forward for Switzerland, is still questionable due to a muscular issue.

PREDICTION OF CHRIS SUTTON

Despite being an ordinary team, Switzerland will be happy with their victory over Cameroon.

Their offensive tempo will likely pose Brazil more problems than Serbia did, and they could score as a result.

Brazil took some time to get going against Serbia, but they eventually displayed some of their attacking power; the situation will be similar.

Sutton's forecast is 2-1.

COMPARE FACTS

Brazil and Switzerland have drawn their two previous World Cup encounters (2-2 in 1950, 1-1 in 2018).

No team has ever gone 17 games in a row without losing in the World Cup group stages as Brazil has done in their last 16 matches.

For the first time ever, Switzerland hopes to sweep its first two World Cup games.

In his last seven games for Brazil across all leagues, Richarlison has netted nine goals.

Breel Embolo has scored for Switzerland in three of his last four games.
